# isLoadingPlaceholder

Type guard for ServerSide loading placeholders.

With the default `placeholderRendering: 'loading-row'` the grid renders placeholders
itself, so column renderers, value accessors, `format` and `rowClass` are never called
for them while rendering. Use this guard where placeholders still reach your code: with
`placeholderRendering: 'columns'` (including a Responsive `cardRenderer`), in a
`sortComparator` or `gridConfig.sortHandler` under `sortMode: 'local'`, in Export
`mode: 'formatted'` / `processCell` and Clipboard copy (which call `format`), or when
reading `grid.rows` directly.
